As of Friday, the Salvation Army of Lubbock’s Red Kettle Campaign was 7 percent below this same time last year.

The goal is $250,000 – same as last year.

“This year was going strong but with last week’s snowstorm the campaign took a major loss,” the Salvation Army said.

People can donate wherever they see the volunteer bell ringers around town. Or donations can also be made to the Red Kettle Campaign at The Salvation Army Corps, 1111 16th Street.

“The Red Kettle Campaign is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” the Salvation Army said. “The money raised helps The Salvation Army of Lubbock provide meals, shelter, clothing, and assistance to people in need.”
