Lubbock Police, Lubbock Fire Rescue and EMS were called for the report of a shooting Friday morning at about 8:15. The location was in the 6000 block of 88th Street.
EMS was seen taking one patient and police later confirmed that a man was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.
Police called detectives to the scene because of how serious the injuries were.
