The Texas Department of Public Safety reported on Tuesday that a Rotan man was killed in a one vehicle accident Monday in Scurry County.
The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 180, approximately 12.6 miles northeast of Hermleigh.
DPS said a Ford pickup truck drifted off the roadway while traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 180.
The driver overcorrected, which caused the pickup to side skid and then roll over several times.
Phillip Donald Hull, 71, of Rotan was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
His body taken to Bell Scypert Seale Funeral Home in Snyder.
DPS said Hull was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
