In an effort to raise funds for the ongoing Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts, Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q made the decision to postpone their annual Pink “Cup for a Cause” campaign to February 2018 and launch the first ever Texas “Cup for a Cause”. Texas Cup launches on Sunday, October 1st with a goal of raising $100,000 for organizations like Rebuild Texas and The Coastal Bend Disaster Recovery Group. Rudy’s will match up to $50,000.
During the entire month of October, Rudy’s will transform their 32 oz cups into the all-new Texas Cup. Guests are encouraged to donate $1 and in return they will receive a free dink coupon to be used on their next visit. Through the past campaigns, the Rudy’s team and guests have raised well-over $1,000,000 for various charities, mainly focused on supporting military and breast cancer related charities.
“After the storm rolled through, we began donating food and supplies to the hurricane victims, service personnel and volunteers in the affected regions throughout Texas,” said Pete Bassett, VP of Operations at Rudy’s, “We knew that more than our bar-b-q and supplies were needed for these affected regions to rebuild, so we quickly began to work on the Texas Cup for a Cause.”
