A school bus was hit by another vehicle Thursday morning just outside the western city limits of Lubbock. Frenship ISD said the accident was about 9:15 a.m. at FM 179 south of 19th Street.
FISD said a bus was carrying middle school students to the high school for a golf class. The bus was stopped at a railroad crossing. Another vehicle stopped behind the school bus. A passenger car then hit the other vehicle which in turned pushed it into the back of the bus.
DPS said, “The driver of the Audi and one child from the bus was transported to UMC with minor incapacitating injuries.”
Another bus was called to the scene to finish taking the kids to Frenship High School.
