Dustin Albert Lira, 20, of Seminole, died in a two-vehicle collision that occurred east of Stanton on Sunday night, according to information released Monday by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The accident took place about seven miles east of Stanton in Howard County.
According to the DPS, Lira was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic eastbound on Interstate 20.
Jose M. Orellana, 37, of Sherman, was traveling westbound when Lira’s vehicle crossed into westbound traffic, striking the vehicle head-on, according to the DPS.
DPS said Orellana suffered non-incapacitating injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
