“The vibrant agriculture industry of Texas serves as a strong foundation for our nation’s economy,” Sen. Cruz said. “Feeding and supplying the American people, and the world, is no small task, and that’s why I’m grateful to work alongside Secretary Perdue and Chairman Conaway to ensure the federal government gets out of the way, so that Texas farmers and ranchers are able to do what they do best: feed our state and nation, create more good-paying jobs for hardworking Texans, innovate, and prosper.”
