On Tuesday, Lubbock Police said Alicia Ramirez, 54, died at University Medical Center from injuries she suffered on September 16. 

She was the passenger in a pickup truck that was involved in a crash at the intersection of 4th Street and Texas Tech Parkway.  She passed away on September 22, police said. 

On the day of the crash, police issued a statement saying, “Upon arrival, officers located five victims in a Ford F-150. One of the victims was transported to UMC with serious injuries.”

Police said the pickup was hit by a Toyota 4-Runner.  Police said the 4-Runner “ran a red light.”

Trevor McDonald, 28, was arrested for intoxication assault.  He has since been released from jail on bond.  Charges were not yet updated to reflect Ramirez’s death, police said Tuesday.
