Sewer main construction to close part of 3rd Street

LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE) – The following is a news release from the City of Lubbock:

Beginning Monday, August 26, 2019, the City of Lubbock, with Hawkeye Construction, will begin construction of a sewer main at the intersection of 3rd Street and Avenue X. 3rd Street will be closed from Avenue X to University Avenue.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible, and to use extreme caution while driving in the construction zone.
