A federal magistrate on Wednesday ordered Sean Lee Motsenbocker, 26, of Lubbock to remain locked up pending his trial for failure to register as a sex offender.

Motsenbocker was arrested on February 6 for failing to register with the Lubbock Police Department. Official records said Motsenbocker has a lifetime requirement to register because he was convicted of sexual assault and abusive sexual conducted under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

The Texas Sex Offender Registry said Motsenbocker’s victim was a 19-year-old woman.  The disposition date was in April of 2016.  He served six months of military incarceration, the registry said.
