The Shallowater Education Foundation will be awarding over $51,000 in teacher grants to many deserving Shallowater ISD teachers on Tuesday, December 18th .
Awards ranging from $500 to $1,500 will be presented to Elementary, Intermediate, Middle School, and High School teachers at Shallowater ISD who submitted grant applications. Successful grant applications are reviewed and approved by the Shallowater Education Foundation program committee.
Dr. Kenneth Border, SISD Superintendent, states “The Shallowater Education Foundation is instrumental in supporting the teachers and students of Shallowater ISD. Each of these volunteers gives his or her time and financial support to ensure that the teachers and students of SISD are capable of reaching their full potential.” Since its inception, the Shallowater Education Foundation has given over $300,000 in teacher grants and student scholarships.
The grants awarded on Tuesday will assist teachers by providing funds for much needed resources for innovative, educational programs for the students of Shallowater ISD.
