A grass fire was reported near FM 2528 (N. Frankford Avenue) and CR 5400 on Thursday afternoon in Lubbock County.
Shallowater, Abernathy and New Deal fire departments responded.
It is unclear what caused the grass fire, but a photojournalist at the scene learned a structure may have also caught fire.
The fire was put out before 6 p.m. Thursday. The area may still be smoky.
