Several volunteer fire departments were called to the 1200 block of North County Road 2970 for the report of a shop fire.
A photojournalist on scene talked to eyewitnesses who said puppies were inside. So far, there were no reports of people getting injured. One person, however, was displaced as a result of the fire.
The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office said it appears a dog inside of the home knocked over a heater and caused the fire to spark.
The call came in just after 8:00 a.m. Monday.
