Kimberly Carouth, 29, of Brownfield was sentenced this week to serve 8 years in prison for aggravated robbery. Her brother, Christopher Carouth, 31, was sentenced in early November to 30 years in prison.
Kimberly Carouth was originally charged with three cases of aggravated robbery. In one case, she and her brother were accused of robbing a Radio Shack in the 5700 block of 4th Street at knifepoint. In the other cases, they were accused of robbing the Dollar General in the 900 block of Slide and the Subway at 50th and Slide.
They were both arrested in October of 2015 and have been in the Lubbock County Detention Center since that time.
Presumably they will be transferred to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for their prison sentences but court record didn’t say when.
