The following is a news release from TxDOT:

Beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 5, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close the westbound Marsha Sharp Freeway (US 62/82) exit ramp to Slide Road to all traffic. The closure will allow work crews to safely perform routine maintenance and paint sign gantries located at the exit.

The ramp is expected to reopen to traffic before the afternoon rush hour. Message boards are in place notifying drivers of the planned closure.

Work will take place weather permitting.

The work is part of a $1 million routine bridge maintenance project repainting various bridges and structures along Marsha Sharp Freeway (US 62/82), Loop 289 and Spur 327.
