Special Olympics Texas to Host Aquatics Competition for South Plains Area Athletes Saturday

Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) – South Plains Area (Area 17)

WHAT:              
Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) – South Plains Area (Area 17) will host its annual Aquatics Competition for 48 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and Unified partners (teammates without IDD) from the South Plains area. Athletes participating in the event range from ages 13-65. Swimmers 12 years old and up will be eligible to compete at the statewide competition – Fall Classic – which will be held in October at Texas A&M University.


WHEN:                                   
Saturday, August 19
9:00 a.m. – Opening Ceremony
9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. –  Aquatics Competition
