Around 5:20 p.m. Friday evening there were reports of a structure fire at the 4500 block of 49th Street.
One home has significant damage in the area of the carport. A house next door also suffered severe damage to the bedrooms on that side of the house.
Both houses were condemned. Three people are displaced according to the Lubbock Fire Marshall.
The Lubbock Fire Department is at the scene along with the Fire Marshal. EMS also did respond.
At this time there are no reports of injuries.
They do not know the cause of the fire.
