Texas Tech plays Michigan Thursday evening in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.  Tip off is scheduled for 8:39 p.m. (central) and the game will be televised on KLBK.  

The Red Raiders came in as the No. 3 seed and the Michigan Wolverines came in as the No. 2 seed in the western bracket.  Michigan beat Montana and Florida. Tech beat Northern Kentucky and Buffalo.  

The Red Raiders are 28 – 6 overall and were ranked No. 9 by the Associated Press in week 20 of the season.  The Wolverines are 30 – 6 overall and were ranked No. 8 by the Associated Press in week 20. 

The Red Raiders are led by Jarrett Culver with nearly 19 points per game, 6.5 rebounds and nearly 4 assists on average.  The Wolverines are led by Ignas Brazdeikis with almost 15 points per game, more than 5 rebounds on average and 1 assist per game.

The winner of Tech vs Michigan will face the winner of Gonzaga vs Florida State.
