The national immigration plan is starting to take shape in Washington. What about here in Texas? Some of that could be answered soon. Senate Bill 4, the “Sanctuary Cities Ban” was signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott on May 7. The bill was authored by State Senator Charles Perry of Lubbock. It will be become law on September 1. Several Texas cities have filed a lawsuit against the new law. A federal district judge will hear their case Monday in San Antonio.
