The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality filed paperwork on Monday to become an “interested party” in the Reagor Dykes bankruptcy case. TCEQ had not yet put a dollar value on its interest as of early Monday afternoon.
The paperwork was filed on behalf of TCEQ by the Office of the Texas Attorney General Bankruptcy & Collections Division.
A search of public records showed that in late 2017, TCEQ took administrative action against D and R Acquisitions, doing business as Reagor Dykes Toyota.
D and R was ordered to make improvements to a pressure tank and pay “$2,675 in administrative penalties with $534 deferred” according to official records.
The company was accused of allowing discharge of wastewater into a drainage ditch.
A search of the TCEQ website did not turn up any other issues with Reagor Dykes. EverythingLubbock.com called TCEQ’s media relations office to request more information.
A list of Reagor Dykes companies filed for bankruptcy on August 1. They did so one day after Ford Motor Credit Company accused Reagor Dykes of defaulting on roughly $40 million.
