Texas Anti-Gang Center in Lubbock launches website

The following is a news release provided by the Texas Anti-Gang Center:

The Texas Anti-Gang (TAG) Center in Lubbock launched a new website to assist the public with reporting gang related criminal activities in the Panhandle and South Plains.

The primary goals of this website is to: report criminal activity anonymously, educate the public regarding the threat of illegal gangs,  inform young people of the dangers of joining a gang, assist parents with identifying children’s behavior that may indicate gang interest and how to respond if they suspect gang involvement.

This is a multijurisdictional website supported by local, state and federal agencies which allows the public to submit anonymous gang related crime tips and wanted gang fugitive tips within the counties of Bailey, Cochran, Crosby, Dickens, Floyd, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Kent, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Motley, Terry and Yoakum.

This website creates a partnership between the public and law enforcement by allowing the public to assist in deterring gang activity. We must remember gangs are involved in thefts, burglaries, assaults, sexual assaults, homicides, human trafficking, illegal drug activity and the list goes on.  We can only stop this malice if we work together.
