Texas Tech Athletics has partnered with Caprock Cardiovascular Center and Cath Lab to assist the American Heart Association in American Heart Month, a federally designated event that has occurred in the United States during the month of February since 1964. 

As part of the partnership, Caprock Cardiovascular Center will donate $25 to the American Heart Association for every assist the Red Raiders and Lady Raiders make during the month of February. Donations are to help support invaluable heart disease and stroke research and to better the lives of those in the West Texas community. 

“We are excited to partner with Texas Tech Athletics and the American Heart Association to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease in both men and women,” Caprock Cardiovascular cardiologist Dr. Jason Bradley said.  “We look forward to providing innovative and efficient care to the people of West Texas and Eastern New Mexico.” 

American Heart Month is an ideal time to remind Americans to focus on their hearts and encourage them to get their families, friends and communities involved.
