Texas Tech Athletics will donate over 1,000 tickets to local community service organizations this weekend when the Red Raiders host Arizona State Saturday night at Jones AT&T Stadium.
The list of organizations who have received complimentary tickets include the Lubbock Area United Way, United Blood Service, the American Red Cross, South Plains Food Bank, Breedlove Foods and the Salvation Army among others.
“We’re grateful for the support our community provides our athletic programs and student-athletes each year,” Tech Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt said. “We’re excited to be able to give back to several organizations that greatly impact West Texas.”
The work of non-profit service organizations has been essential in recent weeks as numerous Lubbock organizations have provided support in Hurricane Harvey relief efforts throughout the Houston and Southeast Texas area.
Kickoff for Saturday’s duel between the Red Raiders and the Sun Devils is slated for 7 p.m. with television coverage on FOX Sports Net. The game will also air nationally on the Texas Tech Sports Network.
Tickets are still available for the Arizona State game and can be purchased online or by contacting the Tech Ticket Office at 806-742-TECH. The ticket office will open at 4 p.m. Saturday in its main location on the east side of Jones AT&T Stadium as well as the box office locations on the northwest and southwest corners of the stadium.
