Texas Tech University continues to receive recognition for its outstanding online programs. The university was recently ranked No. 1 for Best Online Colleges in Texas and No. 12 in the nation for 50 Best Accredited Online Colleges and Universities by BestColleges.com.

Texas Tech was ranked No. 1 in Texas based on statistical data and applied guiding principles, including academic quality, affordability and online competency. The No. 12 ranking Texas Tech received was decided by using qualitative measures and data provided by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics, and each school on the list is fully accredited.

“This is an exciting distinction for Texas Tech Worldwide eLearning,” said Melanie Hart, vice provost for eLearning & Academic Partnerships at Texas Tech. “We strive for quality in all of our programs, whether they are at a distance or on campus. The overall goal for Worldwide eLearning is to offer high-quality programs for students where they live, and this ranking indicates we are meeting our goal. We will continue to provide the best experience possible for all of our students.”
