WHAT:          
Texas Tech University will host the fourth annual Small Business Expo in conjunction with the National Small Business Week. The expo provides business owners with a forum for building strategic partnerships through a mutual exchange of information with government agencies and business representatives.                                                                                                 

WHEN:          
8 a.m. to Noon Tuesday (May 1)

WHERE:        
McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center, 17th Street and University Avenue

EVENT:         
This event is for small business owners, potential business owners and entrepreneurs, local, state and federal government agents and anyone who has an interest in nurturing small business. This year 11 governmental agencies and more than 60 vendors will participate in the expo. 

Presentations will be provided by representatives from Summus Industries, U.S. Small Business Development Center, Procurement Assistance Center and Texas Department of Information Resources.  Attendees also will learn programs through governmental agencies for small and disadvantaged businesses.

The expo is free and open to the public. Door prizes also will be awarded.
