The Texas Tech University Office of Undergraduate Admissions invites high school juniors and seniors to Texas Tech Preview on Sunday (Oct. 8) and Monday (Oct. 9). Guests will have the opportunity to experience Texas Tech and meet faculty, staff and students.
Registration begins Sunday at 1 p.m. in the United Supermarkets Arena. After registration and the welcome, guests will break off into academic information sessions. The event continues with registration at 7:30 a.m. Monday followed by a Spirit Rally at United Supermarkets Arena featuring the Goin’ Band from Raiderland, the Spirit Squads and other guest speakers.
“This event provides prospective students an opportunity to see what Texas Tech has to offer,” said Jamie Hansard, executive director of admissions. “It’s one of our biggest recruitment events of the year.”
Guests will have the opportunity to browse the student resource fair, featuring presentations from various academic departments and student services. Presenters include the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, the Center for Campus Life, Student Financial Aid & Scholarships, Hospitality Services, the Honors College and Pre-Professional Health Careers. Guests also will be able to tour the campus and residence halls.
“Texas Tech Preview gives prospective students a glimpse of college life,” said Patti Douglass, Visitor Center supervisor. “There will be many opportunities to see what Texas Tech is all about.”
