The Buddy Holly Center is pleased to announce Mikayla Griffin in concert during the Summer Showcase Concert Series, this Thursday, June 1 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. The concert is free to the public.

Mikayla Griffin is a singer songwriter from Cleburne, Texas. Mikayla learned to speak and sing at the same time. She grew up watching her grandfather from the side of the stage, as he performed, and fell into singing and writing songs as if it were just something everyone did. She has been on stage since she was eight and has become a regular favorite at the House of Blues in Dallas. Tim Jorgensen, GM of HOB, discovered her at their open mic and used her to spearhead the Kids Who Rock shows, which she participated in for two years. Mikayla then spent an entire summer playing to the dinner crowd every Saturday. She also performed at the House of Blues in Las Vegas October 2015.

After completing high school, Mikayla plans to attend art school in New York, as she continues her musical career. Mikayla is the youngest performer to headline at the Summer Showcase Concert Series.
