The Texas Department of Public Safety on Tuesday released information about a deadly crash in Mitchell County which happened the day before.
DPS said Clemente Gallegos Ramos, 51, of Dallas was pronounced dead at the scene. DPS also said Juventina Ramos, 77, of Durango and Maria Gallegos, 40, of Dallas were both taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock.
DPS said Clemente Ramos was driving a pickup truck along Interstate 20 east of Colorado City.
“After the tread on the rear driver’s side tire came off, the vehicle went into a side skid and struck a guardrail head on,” DPS said.
DPS said Juventina Ramos suffered “serious/incapacitating” injuries. DPS said Gallegos’ injuries were not incapacitating.
