The following is a news release from TxDOT:

The Texas Department of Transportation and the City of Lubbock are set to activate the traffic signals at the FM 1730 (Slide Road) and 114th Street intersection in south Lubbock. City of Lubbock crews will begin work to activate the signals to an all-red flashing (four-way stop) mode at 9 a.m., tomorrow. Work is expected to take about four hours to complete.

The signals will flash all-red for 24 hours before being fully activated to normal or Green-Yellow-Red operation on Thursday, Dec. 7.

Message boards have been placed to notify motorists of the upcoming signal changes. Work will take place weather permitting.
