LUBBOCK, Texas – On Tuesday morning, Triumph Public Schools – Lubbock unveiled its new name. Up until now, the charter school at 4008 Avenue R. had been known as South Plains Academy.
An official statement said, Triumph Public High Schools – Lubbock “provides community-based alternative educational programs for non-traditional students and at-risk youth.”
“The vision of Triumph Public High Schools is to guide all students to be successful life-long learners, be respectful and responsible citizens who will continue to triumph throughout their lives,” Triumph said.
Triumph campuses include Brownsville, El Paso, Laredo, Lubbock, McAllen, Mercedes, and San Benito. The parent company, Student Alternatives Program, Inc., said it has more than 25 years of experience in providing non-traditional education in Texas.
