David Trotter, 56, of Hale County pleaded not guilty Friday morning in federal court. Trotter was recently indicted for receipt of child pornography.

In December, a teenage girl came forward to say she believed Trotter recorded video of her getting out of the shower.  A criminal complaint said the FBI did not find that recording but did find images of a teenage boy.

On Wednesday, a federal magistrate ordered that Trotter is allowed to post a $150,000 bond to get out of jail until his federal trial date. There would also be a list of conditions for Trotter to be released.  One of those conditions is getting someone to act as a third-party custodian of Trotter.

As of Friday, Trotter remained locked up.  A trial date was tentatively set for July 2.

If convicted of the current charge, Trotter faces between 5 and 20 years in prison.
