Texas Tech University School of Law Annual Alumni Barbecue and 50th Anniversary Celebration

EVENT:
Serving as the kickoff for the Texas Tech School of Law’s yearlong celebration of its opening 50 years ago, the school will host its Annual Alumni Barbecue.
Texas Tech University System Chancellor Robert Duncan, a 1981 graduate of the law school, along with Texas Tech University President Lawrence Schovanec, Texas Tech University Provost Michael Galyean and new School of Law Dean Jack Wade Nowlin will deliver remarks.
They all will participate in a symbolic ceremonial groundbreaking using a five-handled shovel that was used when ground was broken for the current School of Law building in 1968 and for the groundbreaking of the Mark & Becky Lanier Professional Development Center in 2004.
All Texas Tech School of Law alumni, family and friends are invited to attend.
