The Texas Department of Public Safety said two vehicles crashed Thursday afternoon at Clovis Highway and Milwaukee Avenue.
DPS said a pickup truck was going north on Milwaukee and failed to yield the right of way. An SUV was headed east on Clovis Highway. The SUV hit the truck, DPS said.
Three people from the truck including a 3-year-old child were taken to University Medical Center with “incapacitating injuries.” Two people, including a 5-year-old, from the SUV were also taken to UMC with “incapacitating injuries.”
DPS identified the driver of the SUV as Rebecca Alexander, 16, of Lubbock. The driver of the pickup truck was identified as Brianna Davalos, 24, of Lubbock.
DPS said, “Davalos was cited for failing to yield right of way.”
