Multiple emergency departments responded to a crash involving two semi-trucks Tuesday evening on US-84 near Posey and Slaton.

According to the Department of Public Safety, a pickup pulled out of Wayne’s liquor store and caused a semi in the passing left of Slaton Highway to “take evasive action.”

The semi then side-swiped another 18-wheeler in the right lane, hitting the cab and forcing both trailers off the road.

After the collision, both of the trucks were on or near a railroad track. One truck had seed while the other was empty, according to DPS.

The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, DPS, EMS, Buffalo Springs Police, Slaton Fire and Slation Police all responded to the crash.

No one was injured in the collision.

The South Plains Electric Company was notified of downed power lines. Santa Fe Burlington Northern was also informed of the blocked railroad.
