The following is news release from Landtroop Strategies:

Lubbock Lemonade Day and proud partner United Supermarkets proudly present the sixth annual Big Squeeze Event on Sunday April 29th from 2 – 4 pm at two convenient locations:

United Supermarkets
12815 Indiana Ave, Lubbock, TX 79423
(130th Street & Indiana)

Market Street
4425 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407
(19th & Quaker)

Set for the weekend before the big day, this event helps young entrepreneurs and their support team of family/mentors/grandparents to get their stand up and running quickly – find a location, think through their stand, and purchase the supplies needed to carry out their vision. The Lemonade Day Citibus and Lemi the Lemonhead will stop by at each location to greet kids and even sign autographs.

The Lubbock Health Department will be issuing temporary $1 Lemonade Day Health permits to entrepreneurs that will be serving hot food cooked on location. Stands that will be featuring hot menu items such as hot dogs, hamburgers, or brisket wraps can obtain their permit at either location or by completing the permit from the Lemonade Day website.

Lemonade Day empowers today’s youth guiding them through opening their own lemonade stand so they can be tomorrow’s entrepreneurs. This year we aim to have over 1000 new businesses, surpassing the number of stand last year.

To register for Lemonade Day kids and adults can visit the Lubbock Lemonade Day website: https://lemonadeday.org/registration/signin. Participants who register will receive a free “Lemons 2 Gold” T-shirt and passport from the YWCA and be able to put their stand on the Lubbock map!
