Lubbock Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire in South Lubbock Saturday morning.
The fire was reported just before 9:00 a.m. in the 8300 block of Indiana Avenue at Sharp Academy.
When fire crews arrived on scene, they found heavy smoke coming from the roof of the structure.
LFR crews were able to extinguish the fire a little after 9:00 a.m.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
In a post on Facebook Saturday evening, Sharp Academy officials said an AC unit on the roof caught on fire.
Sharp Academy said the building sustained minimal damage to the roof and one office.
They are asking for donations to help meet their $10,000 insurance deductible.
