Emergency crews were dispatched to a two vehicle accident in North Lubbock late Sunday afternoon involving a minivan and a motorcycle.
The accident was reported around 5:15 p.m. at North Indiana Avenue and Baylor Street.
Lubbock Police told EverythingLubbock.com the motorcycle driver suffered serious injuries. The two occupants in the minivan suffered moderate injuries.
All three accident victims were taken to University Medical Center.
Police later confirmed Sunday evening the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Lubbock Police Department’s Accident Investigation team was called to the scene.
Authorities said it appears the minivan may have pulled out in front of the motorcycle.
Indiana Avenue, between Bates Street and Colgate Street, was shut down while crews worked to clean up the accident and police conducted their investigation.
The names of the accident victims have not been released at this time.
