At approximately 11:30 a.m., 24-year-old Asia Jackson turned himself in to Lubbock police officers. Jackson had an outstanding arrest warrant for aggravated assault in connection to the shooting at Park East Apartments that sent two people to the hospital.
This case remains under investigation by the Lubbock Police Department Persons Crimes Unit.

The Lubbock Police Department is searching for 24-year-old Asia Devine Jackson who is wanted for aggravated assault in connection to yesterday’s shooting at Park East Apartments.
Just after 6 p.m. on April 27th, LPD received multiple calls for shots fired at the apartment located at 1819 Glenna Goodacre Boulevard. Officers arrived and located a male victim, 19-year-old John Scott, with serious injuries. A second victim with minor to moderate injuries, 19-year-old Kiana Pipkins, had left the area after the shooting and was located in the 900 block of Avenue S. Both victims were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
Based on information gathered at the scene, it appears there was an altercation between several people at the apartment complex pool. The altercation escalated and at some point the suspect pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots, striking the two victims.
LPD investigators and officers were able to quickly identify the suspect as Jackson, and an arrest warrant for aggravated assault was issued.
Jackson is described as a black male with dreadlocks, approximately 170 pounds and about 5-foot 10-inches tall. Jackson should be considered armed and dangerous.
