LPD Investigating Serious Crash
Three people remain in the hospital Friday afternoon after a single vehicle crash in north Lubbock.
At approximately 5:25 a.m., Lubbock Police officers responded to North Loop 289 near North Ash Avenue for a crash involving a Dodge pickup truck.
All three adult male occupants were taken by ambulance to the hospital with serious injuries. At this time, the injuries no longer appear to be life threatening.
Through the initial investigation, it appears the pickup truck was traveling westbound on North Loop 289 when the driver lost control. The pickup flipped and came to a stop in the median between the main lanes of Loop 289 and the access road.
For several hours, LPD crash investigators shut down the westbound lanes to map the scene for the investigation. As of 10:30 a.m., all lanes have been reopened and traffic has returned to normal.
This case remains under investigation by LPD crash investigators.
