A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 12:00 PM CST Thursday for Cottle, Crosby, Dickens, Garza, Kent, King and Motley County.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until  9:00 AM CST Thursday for Borden and Scurry County.

Light snowfall and ice accumulation is expected in the advisory area from Wednesday evening through late Thursday morning. 

Snowfall accumulations of less that one inch are expected across the South Plains and the western portions of the Rolling Plains. Accumulations of one to two inches are still possible across the far eastern portions of the Rolling Plains. 

Ice accumulations of one-tenth of a inch are also possible. 

Wintry precipitation will cause icy spots to develop on roadways, bridges and overpasses. The main area of travel concern will be along and east of the Interstate 27 and U.S. Highway 87 corridor, especially off the Caprock.
