The following is a press release from City of Lubbock:
Beginning Monday, April 2, Lone Star Dirt and Paving, under contract with the City of Lubbock, will begin an asphalt paving improvement project on Upland Avenue.
The extent of improvements is from 50th Street to 66th Street. This project will be achieved through various phases with the first phase being the complete closure of Upland Avenue from 50th Street to 59th Street. Every effort will be made to minimize the disruption of traffic flow, however, traffic control and lane closures should be expected. Detours will be made available to residents inside the neighborhood, and all other traffic is recommended to find alternate routes.
Motorists are urged to allow extra time for delays or to find alternate routes. This work will take approximately four to six weeks to complete depending upon weather and construction constraints.
