Police told the business that the driver of the van suffered a medical condition which led to the crash.
“Thankful no one was hurt today,” Heart’s Desire said on Facebook late Monday.
“So much devastation and destruction when someone drives a car through your shop,” Heart’s Desire said. “We are just going to take it one day at a time. We would appreciate your prayers and continued business.”
First responders and community members then used all day Tuesday to try and clean up most of the mess. They’re estimating the damages to be a couple thousand dollars.
“There has just been so much that has been damaged,” said Cynthia Bybee, Owner of Cynthia’s Hearts Desires, “In the end though we are just so thankful to the community for coming out and supporting all of us.”
Althogh the store is undergoing repairs, their doors will remain open for their customers and hope people will show their support by shopping at their local locations.
