Roscoe Wilson Elementary School was recently awarded at $2,000 grant from Home Depot to make improvement to the school’s Magic Garden.
The grant will help construct an outdoor classroom with benched and a waterproof chalkboard.
Several ground-level flower beds will also be created to benefit pollination for the fruits and vegetables grown throughout the year.
On Saturday, volunteers from Home Depot, United Supermarkets, school staff and parents gathered to work on the garden.
The school is located at 2807 25th Street.
