Lubbock Police on Friday evening released a statement about Ruben Hernandez Jr., 25, who was described as armed and dangerous.  He was also believed to be possibly hiding in Lubbock to avoid federal authorities. 

The following is a written statement from Lubbock Police:  

(LUBBOCK, TX) – The U.S. Marshals from the Northern District of Texas Team Foxtrot, Lubbock Police Department Investigators and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement are currently searching for a wanted fugitive who is believed to be in the Lubbock area.

Ruben Hernandez Jr., 25, is currently wanted for transporting and harboring illegal aliens for financial gain. The federal warrant was issued back in September out of Del Rio, Texas.

Hernandez has ties to Lubbock, and investigators believe he may have fled to this area.

Hernandez is 5’03”, weighs approximately 140 pounds and has very distinctive tattoos including the word “sweet” on his right eyelid and “dreams on his left eyelid. He also has a triangle beneath his left eye and various other tattoos on his neck.

He should be considered dangerous and anyone who comes across Hernandez should not approach him, but call police immediately. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact (806) 544-1461.
