Littlefield residents are asked to use water only for “an absolute emergency.” The city posted a message on Facebook just after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday.
The following is the message from Littlefield:
ATTENTION!!!
The City of Littlefield Department of Utilities request that water usage be restricted to an absolute emergency. The cities main transmission line is under repair and offline, unfortunately the City of Lubbock emergency back up supply line just went offline. The City of Lubbock has a repair crew in route to diagnose and repair the issue. Until repairs are completed we ask that everyone restrict water usage to the bare minimum, we will provide updates periodically. Thank you.
