On the quest to meet Mickey Mouse, Wish Kid Barclay ran into a few princesses who couldn’t help but love all over him.

The week Barclay spent in Florida, it rained almost every day. It had some Disney fans seeking shelter, but not this crew.

“It was best for our trip because he loves the rain. And most people it ruined their trip, but for us it was awesome,” said Briley. “It cooled us off because it was hot hot. Barclay loved it, we just draped the rain coat over him, it was perfect, he loved it.”

“It rained everyday except for one I think,” said Deborah Kent, Barclay’s grandmother.

A week spent enjoying the rain, riding the rides, and getting signatures from their favorite characters. Just three of the highlights of this trip.

“The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, it goes all over and it goes slowly through the Seven Dwarfs cave, then it went up and down,” said Briley.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation made sure Barclay didn’t have to spend too much time waiting in lines.

“The genie pass is more magical than the fast pass, we would walk up and they would take us next. Barclay didn’t have to wait in the heat. They really cater to the kids so much,” said Kent.

They say Disney is a magical place, and that was definitely the case for this sweet family.

“He had such an amazing time. He had the time of his life, he smiled and laughed it was just great,” said Billy Wiekel, Barclay’s dad.
