Barclay Weikel and his sister Briley Weikel are best friends, and they’re about to go on a big trip.

“He loves to talk and he’s just playful. Whenever you ask him a question, he turns his head and smiles all the time and he’s just so cute,” said Briley.

Doctor’s visits will have to be put on hold, because the Weikel family is going to Disney World.

Briley said, “Actually we’re getting me and his clothes ready and packed inside a big suitcase.”

Barclay has battled a lot of medical issues.

“He constantly battles diet and those kind of things. He battles seizures it’s an ongoing battle to keep his life in order with all the diet and with medications and those kinds of things,” said Billy Weikel, Barclay’s dad.

So, the Make-A-Wish foundation decided it’s time to brighten his day.

“We got the call that Make-A-Wish wanted to send us on a trip, or send them I would say. I get the privilege to go because I’m Mimi. They told us we we’re going to get to go. Briley was so excited she was telling Barclay all about it,” said Deborah Kent, Mimi to the grandkids.

His sister can’t wait for him to experience all the sights and sounds in Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios.

“I think he’ll get to meet all the characters he wants, but he is a big Spider-Man fan,” said Briley.

Barclay’s dad welcomes this as a time to have fun and watch his kids experience the magic of Disney.

Billy said, “We haven’t gone yet, and we already feel like we’re having fun. So it’s really been a blessing in disguise to really plan it all and think about all the fun we’re going to have.”
