T-Rex and Mickey Mouse are just a few of Brennan’s favorite things. “A T-Rex eats meat, eats plants, and grass, and leaves and that’s all,” said Brennan, a Wish Kid.
The engineers, interior designers, and landscape architects at Parkhill Smith and Cooper just so happened to have a dinosaur roaming the halls.
“Brennan loves dinosaurs so we did a dinosaur themed scavenger hunt through our office. We made a map and we had footprints leading to each clue and it was really fun to watch them enjoy that,” said Liz Morgan, from Parkhill Smith and Cooper.
So they hosted a party for Brennan who has been through a lot since he was born.
“He was born with chronic kidney failure. He had his first surgery at two weeks. He’s going on seven, and has had 12 surgeries,” said Lorrie Bartels, Brennan’s mom.
In October, he had a kidney transplant, and he couldn’t be better. That’s what this party is all about, to celebrate Brennan.
“At every stop they found a backpack with a lock. They came through and put together all their clues to make a puzzle. They got their keys to unlock their backpacks and saw all their goodies inside. Came out here to find out their going to Disney World,” said Morgan.
What is Brennan looking forward to most? “Excited! It’s fun hanging out, excited to see Mickey Mouse. I’m 100% excited,” said Brennan.
Brennan’s mom says before this, she didn’t know much about Make-A-Wish. She was even misinformed about which kids Make-A-Wish helps. “They have gone above and beyond to do anything that they could to make sure he was comfortable, just out of their way. I’m really grateful for Make-A-Wish,” said Bartels.
