A federal magistrate on Wednesday ordered that Anthony Edean Woollis, 52, of Lubbock would remain in jail until his trial date for production of child pornography.

Federal court records said Texas Department of Safety officers executed a search warrant of Woollis’ home in the 300 block of Avenue X on October 6.  The warrant was for drugs. Officers seized marijuana, cocaine, LSD, and mushrooms.

“Over 25 water bongs and pipes were also located at the residence,” federal records said.  But there was more.

His phone was also seized and officers found sexual images and videos of a girl who appeared to be less than 18 years old.

Officers investigated and now believe that Woollis took images and videos of the girl in 2012 and 2013.  She would have been 15 and 16 years old at the time.

State prosecutors filed a charge against Woollis for a sexual assault of a child because of the way he touched the underage girl in the video.  Federal prosecutors filed against him for production of child pornography.

Woollis waived his right to a detention trial in federal court.  A federal trial date was not yet listed in court records.

He was arrested on November 21 and has remained in the Lubbock County Detention Center since that time.
