For the third year in a row, Representatives from GM will recognize Scoggin Dickey as the second largest purchaser of GM Parts in North America. According to Nicky Fowler, Fixed Operations Manager at Scoggin Dickey, more than 30,000 parts are shipped out each month from the Scoggin Dickey Parts Center warehouse in Lubbock. “They will ship to more than 17 different states and more than 4 foreign countries each day,” says Fowler.
Scoggin Dickey was founded in 1929 and is one of the oldest family-owned GM Dealerships in the nation. The dealership has been known for its GM Wholesale Parts Distribution since the 1970s under the leadership of Wendell Fowler whose vision of growth lead the parts department to become a top performer. In 1972, Scoggin Dickey was recognized as the largest GM Wholesale Part operation in the Southwest Region of the United Sates.
Under the guidance of third generation owner and Scoggin Dickey President, John Zwiacher, the parts department has seen tremendous growth over the past 20-years. In the last year alone, the parts center has become a complete engine machine shop and engine dynometer testing facility. The state of the art facility can now build a complete engine or repair factory engines that will exceed the manufacturer’s specifications. “We continue to grow and our owner, John Zwiacher, pushes his team to seek more opportunities for expansion,” says Fowler.
“Through strong leadership and employees that put customer service as their primary job responsibility, the facility has continued its growth,” says Fowler. Scoggin Dickey is the largest supplier of GM Engines, GM Transmissions, and GM Performance parts in the nation and it all happens right here in Lubbock, Texas!
Representatives from GM will provide Scoggin Dickey employees with a luncheon and recognition on Thursday, March 9th. More information about Scoggin Dickey Parts Center can be found at www.sdparts.com.
